Prime Minister Luca Niculescu held a telephone conversation on Friday with his Ukrainian counterpart, Serhii Koretskyi, regarding the security situation in Ukraine and the Black Sea region.
"I had an in-depth telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Serhii Koretskyi, about the security situation in Ukraine and the Black Sea region, including following the recent attacks on commercial vessels," Luca Niculescu wrote in a post on the X platform, potrivit Agerpres.
A commercial vessel off the Black Sea coast of Romania capsized and was at risk of sinking after being struck by a drone near the border with Ukraine.
One sailor died, and nine were rescued. Search operations are underway for three other missing sailors.
The incident occurred approximately 24 kilometers off the port of Constanta, near Romania's territorial waters.
