Posta Romana enjoys a higher trust margin than any other company in the industry in Romania, Posta Romana (Romanian Post) National Company (CNPR) Director General Valentin Stefan told a press conference on Thursday.

"Posta Romana proudly flies the flag, enjoying a greater level of public trust than any other company in the industry in Romania. Why has Posta Romana chosen to undergo a radical visual identity change? Because we are persistent, tenacious and loyal. We are transitioning from tradition to modernity. We believe in our strategic role and we accept that we must change in order to remain present in Romania, for Romanians, for another 163 years. We embrace the role of the universal counter. We need to make a revolutionary shift in our visual identity. We asked ourselves, 'How do people want us to be?' and 'What must we change?' That is how we began this rebranding process. A large portion of those interviewed said that the Post feels outdated and that this needs to change. They also said the Post must offer more services - which, for us, translates to services provided in a modern way, in tune with the world we live in. That is what we have done: a fresh image and a visual identity that will fundamentally transform the image of the Post for our current clients as well as the future clients we aim to reach over the next five, ten or even twenty years," Stefan said.

He also said that Posta Romana is succeeding in transforming itself logistically, digitally and especially in terms of human resources.

"Our strategy is clear and follows three directions: the universal counter, a strategic infrastructure of the Romanian state to maintain the relationship between citizens and companies and institutions; courier and logistics; and financial-banking services through accessible digital solutions. What's next? In courier services, as the study shows, we have a very young market segment, aged 18-29. We are doing our job responsibly in the other areas as well. We are a company that has evolved over time. We have adapted and continuously developed while maintaining a connection with all communities across Romania. We are undergoing deep transformation - logistical, digital and, above all, human. My colleagues know how hard it is," the CNPR head emphasised.

In mid-September, CNPR officials announced in a press release that, in 2025, the company had launched a rebranding and brand portfolio diversification process, with a focus on universal counters, courier and logistics services, as well as digital financial-banking services.

The rebranding strategy includes a comprehensive package, aligned with the company's organisational transformation, introducing a new visual identity for Posta Romana "under the umbrella of a strong main brand, with a clear architecture, five specialised sub-brands and one endorsed brand."

The rebranding process is being developed in collaboration with Inoveo Concept, a Romanian branding and design consultancy agency with over 20 years of experience and an extensive portfolio of national and international brand projects.

CNPR is the national operator in the postal services sector and currently operates a network of over 5,000 postal subunits nationwide, including 676 post offices and 1,054 postal counters.
