President Klaus Iohannis stated on Monday that he will collaborate with the National Liberal Party (PNL) in view of preparing the presidential election campaign, mentioning, in relation to the possibility of Dacian Ciolos's candidacy, that it's very good for everyone to present their electoral offer.
When asked if he talked with the PNL, the Save Romania Union (USR) about him running for presidency, Iohannis responded that he usually talks with politicians.
"Yes, I usually discuss with politicians and I will continue these discussions throughout the year. I believe you recall that I came from the PNL, where I was chairman and, obviously, I will collaborate with the PNL for preparing the campaign properly," Klaus Iohannis stated at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace.
In respect to the possibility of Dacian Ciolos running for presidency, he replied: "I believe that it's very good for everyone to present their electoral offer. Whether is good? Certainly that it's good to gave candidates for the presidential elections, this is what we fought for in December '89 to have the freedom to elect, as well as to be elected. I endorsed Dacian Ciolos and promoted him for the Prime Minister office. I believe that he did a good job during that mandate.
