President Klaus Iohannis will be visiting the northern county of Suceava today.
According to the schedule released by the Presidential Administration, Iohannis will meet officials of the Suceava-Botosani Bioeconomics Regional Innovative Cluster and attend a debate called a "Modernisation, development, decentralisation. Local administration is speaking!"
Iohannis will also tour the Voronet and Dragomirna monasteries.
Presidential spokesperson Madalina Dobrovolschi recently said the visit is designed for the president to get to know local realities, encourage the local administration, support initiatives in the area while underscoring the importance of preserving rural customs and heritage.
