All parties in the ruling coalition want to continue governing together, President Nicusor Dan said on Thursday before attending the Romanian College of Physicians Gala - "Doctor for Romania. Medical Romania matters".

Asked whether there was a need for a government formed by new coalitions, he replied: "We are not there at all".

"I have said, and I repeat, in all the discussions I have had with all coalition parties, the desire of all is to continue governing together. These four parties and the national minorities want to govern and are obliged to govern together," the head of state added.

Nicusor Dan said he sees "rationality" in the coalition parties and that he will call their leaders for talks "whenever necessary".
