George Simion, the AUR's candidate, recorded 134,368 votes (59.60%), in the first round of the presidential election, in the diaspora, according to data posted Sunday evening, in real time, on the website of the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP), after the centralization of 411 reports (42.59%) from abroad, informs Agerpres.
In second place there is the independent candidate Nicusor Dan, who obtained 57,631 votes in the diaspora (25.56%), followed by Crin Antonescu (Electoral Alliance "Romania, Forward!) with 16,880 votes (7.49%) and Elena Lasconi (USR) - 7,413 votes (3.29%).
The other candidates recorded the following results:
* Victor Ponta (independent candidate) - 6,187 votes (2.74%)
* Daniel Funeriu (independent candidate) - 816 votes (0.36%)
* Cristian Terhes (National Conservative Romanian Party) - 756 votes (0.34%)
* Lavinia Sandru (Humanist Social Liberal Party) - 598 votes (0.27%)
* Sebastian Popescu (New Romania Party) - 360 votes (0.16%)
* John-Ion Banu Muscel (independent candidate) - 257 votes (0.11%)
* Silviu Predoiu (National Action League Party) - 194 votes (0.09%).
