Interim president of the Senate Mircea Abrudean on Sunday stated that he voted in the second round of the presidential elections for democracy, freedom and a pro-European path for our country. He voted at a polling station abroad, in Rome.
"Today, Romania needs the vote of every Romanian who knows what commitment, responsibility, decency mean. I voted in Rome, where I have the honour of representing Romania at the inauguration ceremony of the pontificate of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV. I voted at the Academia di Romania, a Romanian cultural building, which also hosts the Romanian Cultural Institute, subordinated to the Senate of Romania," Abrudean wrote on Facebook on Sunday, agerpres reports.
He highlighted that he voted "for a united Romania, in which common sense, education and competence prevail."
"I voted with my child in mind, with everyone at home and with those abroad in mind. I voted for a united Romania, where common sense, education and competence prevail. I voted for democracy, freedom and a pro-European path. I voted for respect, not for division. I voted for dignity, not for isolation. Go vote, wherever you are! Romania deserves a future, not a return to the past," added Abrudean.
