Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca asked the ministers at Wednesday's government meeting to take all the necessary steps for the goals and milestones Romania has to complete in the first quarter of 2022 to be met on time, the government's spokesman Dan Carbunaru said, pointing out that the government is going full steam on this.
"Today again, at the government meeting, the Prime Minister asked the ministers to make every effort for the goals and milestones Romania has to accomplish in the first quarter of the current year to be duly met. You could see two examples today, the one referring to the increase of the contributions to Pension Pillar II - which doesn't mean that the Romanians will pay more, no extra money will be withheld from the contributor's income; and the bill the government approved today on the conditions for the setting up and operation of national development banks - which was another requirement committed to under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), a milestone Romania had to reach. The government is fully mobilized so that all the goals Romania has committed to for the first quarter are met by March 31," Dan Carbunaru told a press conference at the Victoria Palace of Government.
