Social Democrat leader Sorin Grindeanu said on Monday evening in Timisoara that raising the minimum wage remains one of the demands addressed by the PSD Social Democratic Party (PSD) to the Government.

At the same time, the PSD leader believes that the end of the year will pass without political or social upheaval and that problems can be resolved through dialogue.

'We shall see. Raising the minimum wage is one of the demands we have made of the Government. We will see how the prime minister decides. Clearly, we will continue to fight for this increase (from 4,050 lei to 4,350 lei, editor's note). I believe people should think more carefully, for example these days when we see that tensions are running high on the issue of justice, and understand that things done well are those achieved through dialogue by professionals. We encourage this. Any law can be improved, there can be better laws, but I would urge everyone to set aside political games on this subject of justice, because what is happening now are political games,' Grindeanu said.
