The National Public Health Institute (INSP) on Tuesday reported that between October 28 and November 3, 402 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 were reported in Romania, down 16.9% from the previous week.
According to INSP, 128 of the new cases were in reinfected patients who tested positive more than 90 days after the first infection.
Between October 28 and November 3, six deaths were reported in people with COVID-19, all with comorbidities.
So far, 69,210 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died in Romania.
As of this week, 3,580,547 cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection were recorded in the country.
Last week, 634 RT-PCR tests and 9,956 rapid antigen tests were performed. The positivity rate was 3.8%, down 0.6%.
So far, 14,033,258 RT-PCR tests and 15,067,159 rapid antigen tests have been processed nationwide.
