Romania wins 8 medals at European Geography Olympiad

Romania has won two gold, four silver and two bronze medals at the 10th edition of the European Geography Olympiad, held from June 28 to July 4, 2024 in Serbia, Education Minister Ligia Deca announced on Wednesday.

Our country was represented by two teams, seniors and juniors.

The senior team is composed of: Hanganu Daniel Nicolae - from National College Iasi, gold medal, Moga Andrei-Ioan, National College Garabet Ibraileanu, Iasi, silver medal, Topai Alex-Darius - National College Onisifor Ghibu, Oradea, bronze medal, Sutoiu Mihnea-Ioan, National College Nicolae Titulescu, Pucioasa, bronze medal.

The junior team consists of pupils: Dulgheru Cosmin-Ioan - National College Gheorghe Rosca Codreanu, Barlad, gold medal and the highest score obtained in the juniors, Toderici Cristina-Daria - High School Adam Müller Guttennbrunn, Arad, silver medal, Tiplic Andrei-Marius - National College Gheorghe Lazar, Sibiu, silver medal, Tiplic Paul-Ioan - National College Gheorghe Lazar, Sibiu, silver medal.

The lot coordinators are Mihaela Florina Alexandru, inspector in the Ministry of Education, and teacher Mihaela Cornelia Fiscutean from the National College Iasi. AGERPRES
