Romania wins four medals at 2025 European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad

Team Romanian won four medals at the 2025 European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO 2025), which took place April 11-17 in Pristina, Kosovo.

The team consisted of four students from the Bucharest International Theoretical High School of Informatics in Bucharest: Mitroi Aida, eleventh grade, gold medal; Boiangiu Ana, twelfth grade, silver medal; Stroe Ioana, tenth grade, bronze medal; Diaconu Iustina, eleventh grade, bronze medal, according to the education Ministry.

Fifty-six countries participated in the competition.

Leading team Romania was Mihail Baluna, professor at the Mihai Viteazul National College in Bucharest, and professor Anca Baltariga of the Bucharest International Theoretical High School of Informatics.
