Deputy Inspector General of the Romanian Police Chief Commissioner Ciprian Miron had a meeting on Tuesday with Deputy of the Swedish Police Mats Lofving, as part of an effort to boost collaboration through exchanging data and information for preventing and fighting criminality.
According to a release sent to AGERPRES, the two officials underscored the importance of continuing and developing the operative cooperation, in the spirit of the common values of safety and legality.
Moreover, also discussed were concrete collaboration aspect for fighting organised crime, itinerant and economic criminality, as well as regarding information analysis.
According to the quoted source, the Swedish official voiced appreciation for the professionalism of the Romanian policemen and underscored the importance of exchanging information and good practices in combating any form of criminality.
The Deputy Inspector General of the Romanian Police expressed his confidence in a good international police cooperation between the two states and thanked for the availability of the Swedish authorities in conducting joint activities.
A delegation of the Swedish Police paid a visit to Romania on Monday and Tuesday.
