Romania's pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai was visited on Thursday by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, where he was greeted by Secretary of State for Inter-Institutional Affairs Daniela Gitman and Commissioner General of the Romanian Section at Expo 2020 Dubai, Ferdinand Nagy, according to the Facebook page of the pavilion.
Secretary of State Daniela Gitman extended congratulations for the excellent organization and coordination of the entire exhibition event, even in the context of the major challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the 50th anniversary of the founding of the United Arab Emirates, emphasizing the extraordinary progress registered during these years in terms of economic, social and urban development, conveying at the same time the interest for the consolidation of the cooperation between Romania and the United Arab Emirates in all fields, especially economic and investment.
In his turn, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan thanked the Romanian side for its involvement and presence at this very important event, organized for the first time by the United Arab Emirates in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia region. He also welcomed the dynamics of bilateral relations and the existence of the political will of both countries to deepen them, including by identifying new business opportunities and joint cooperation projects.
The UAE official visited, together with the Romanian delegation, the sections of the national pavilion, from the Concept & Manifest area, dedicated to the 4 New Nature ambassadors, to the Tradition Reloaded creative workshops - the young artists of TRANSILVANIA University from Brasov, creators of special Christmas decorations, the representatives of the Mesteshukar ButiQ economic project, the members of the association Scoala radacinilor strabune - Poarta (School of ancestral roots - the Gate), from Maramures, at the H2R0 mineral water bar and the stage dedicated to traditional music and dance performances.
