The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Monday's session lower across all indices, with turnover reaching 12.661 million lei (2.544 million euros) 30 minutes after the start of trading.
The main index, BET, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a decline of 0.25%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, showed a decrease of 0.27%.
At the same time, the expanded blue-chip index, BET-XT, which tracks the most liquid 25 stocks, lost 1.75%, while the investment fund performance benchmark, BET-BK, depreciated 1.78%.
The BET-FI index, which tracks the financial investment companies (SIFs), recorded a decrease of 0.42%, and BET-NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, showed a decline of 1.68%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was down 0.79%.
According to BVB data, the largest increases in stock values were recorded by Sinteza (+14.81%), COMCM (+4.65%), and Altur (+4.05%).
On the other hand, the stocks of Condmag (-9.09%), AAGES (-3.68%), and Vrancart (-3.61%) were in decline.
