The Stradivarius International Tour 2025 - "RHAPSODIES" curated by violinist Alexandru Tomescu, featuring guitarist Dragos Ilie, a tribute to George Enescu on the 70th anniversary of his death, and will take place until July 12 in cities and villages in the country, with a series of 22 concerts, inform the organizers in a press release sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday.
The 18th edition of the classical music project curated was launched on Tuesday evening in Oradea, will include the Rhapsodies by Enescu and Gershwin, in a special version - transcription for violin and classical guitar, by Dragos Ilie.
"More than a hundred years after their premieres, we are carrying on the story of these musical jewels, bringing them to you in a new, original formula: arrangement for violin and guitar, signed by Dragos Ilie, my partner in this Stradivarius Tour. It is undoubtedly a very daring undertaking to take on the task of rendering the entire palette of sound colors available to the symphony orchestra on the strings of the violin and guitar. I can tell you, however, that the joy of playing, of bringing these exuberant and energetic pieces of music to life is overwhelming," said Alexandru Tomescu.
The tour also includes related events - BackstagePass, where artists meet the audience.
The tour will also include the release of the CD "Paganini Magic", featuring Paganini's Sonatas, recorded by Alexandru Tomescu and Dragos Ilie. The launching events will take place in Sibiu, on June 19, at 18:00 - Carturesti/Iulius Mall, in Iasi, on June 25, at 12:00 - Carturesti, Palace Mall and in Bucharest, Carusel, on July 1, at 11:00 a.m..
