Table tennis: Romania to participate with seven athletes to World Table Tennis Championship

Romania is to participate with seven athletes to the World Junior Table Tennis Championship, which takes place in the period 30 November - 7 December in Cape Town (South Africa).

In women's team we will be represented by Andreea Clapa, Adina Diaconu, Andreea Dragoman and Tatiana Plaian and in men's team Alexandru Manole, Cristian Pletea and Dragos Oprea will compete, Petre Aranutu and Madalin Ionascu being the coaches, according to the Romanian Table Tennis Federation.

In last year's edition, Romania gained at the World Championship in Vendee (France) a bronze medal in the women's team, which was made up of Adina Diaconu, Andreea Dragoman, Diana Lupu and Andreea Clapa, while the men's team (comprised of Cristian Pletea, Rares Sipos, Alexandru Manole, Paul Mladin) ranked 5th.

In the individual events Romanians did not succeed to qualify for the round of sixteen and Europe didn't have any representative starting the women's round of sixteen and men's semifinals.
