Digitalization and artificial intelligence have become mandatory conditions for maintaining competitiveness on the global market, said Bianca Muntean, coordinator of the Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub (TDIH), on Tuesday in Zalau, announcing that SMEs will be able to access free digital maturity audits and specialization courses starting in July 2026.
The statement was made during the event "Salaj in the spotlight. Dialogues about entrepreneurship, performance and community", organized by IMM Romania in partnership with IMM Salaj. The event, held in the Porolissum hall of the Salaj Culture and Art Center, aimed to strengthen the dialogue between business leaders and the local community.
According to Bianca Muntean, technological transformation is no longer an optional process, but an immediate necessity for the survival of any business in an interconnected economic context.
"Without digitalization, without artificial intelligence, not today, not from this afternoon, but from tomorrow at the latest, we can no longer be competitive in a global market. Through the services of this single point of contact, which is called the Transylvania Digital Innovation Hub, you have access to free services, as entrepreneurs, starting from July 2026", explained Bianca Muntean.
The TDIH coordinator detailed the pillars on which the support offered through the regional digital transformation center is based, emphasizing that the human factor remains essential in the adoption of technology.
"Our experts come to your companies and do a digital maturity audit, that is, they analyze processes and create some suggestions on where to start on this path of digitalization. We also offer free courses, because the most important component in the area of technology adoption is not the technology itself, but the people, if they know how to use it," she pointed out.
At the same time, entrepreneurs will benefit from support in identifying the European funding sources necessary for the effective implementation of new technologies within their companies.
Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub (TDIH), also known as The European Digital Innovation Hub in Transilvania (TEDIHT), is a regional center based in Cluj-Napoca, dedicated to supporting SMEs and public authorities in the North-West region.
It functions as a one-stop-shop for all the digitalization needs of organizations in the region.
