Romanian tennis player Jaqueline Cristian qualified for the round of 16 of the WTA 250 tournament in Rouen (France), with total prizes of 239,212 euros, on Tuesday, after defeating French Diane Parry 6-4, 6-3.
Jaqueline Cristian (26 years old, no. 66 WTA) won after one hour and 35 minutes.
The Romanian is now 3-1 in direct matches with Parry (22 years old, no. 115 WTA).
Jaqueline Cristian secured a cheque of 3,624 euros and 30 WTA points, and in the round of 16 she will face another French woman, Tiantsoa Rakotomanga Rajaonah (19 years old, 291 WTA).
