The Master Ski & Bike Club Targu Mures Sports Association, the Romanian Triathlon Federation and the Hungarian Triathlon Federation announced, on Wednesday, the organization of the series of Transylvania Triathlon Festival sports events on July 6-7, in the city of Sangeorgiu de Padure and in the area adjacent to the Bezidu Nou lake , this being the first Romanian-Hungarian triathlon circuit entitled "Friendship Series".
"This year's edition consists of the organization of the National and International Olympic Distance Triathlon Championship, the International Triathlon Championship - Middle and Sprint Distance, Long Distance Swimming Competition, respectively the first Paddle Board (SUP) competition in the region. This edition of the brand Transylvania Triathlon Festival is also part of the first Romanian-Hungarian triathlon circuit 'Friendship Series'. For the year 2024, the joint project of the two federations envisages holding five competitions in Romania and another five in Hungary, one stage of which is hosted by Transylvania Triathlon Festival between July 6-7, 2024. The triathlon competition will include three events: swimming, cycling and running," the Transylvania Triathlon Festival 2024 organizers said in a press release.
The main partners of the event are the Mures County Council, the Sangeorgiu de Padure City Hall and the Romanian Triathlon Federation.
"Year after year, during the Transylvania Triathlon Festival, over a period of several days, together with all the local partners involved, we, from the Asociatia Sportiva Master Ski&Bike Club, are transforming Mures county into the triathlon capital of Romania. In recent years we managed to attract several National and European Championships to the festival, and in 2022 we had the chance to organize the Multisport World Championships, an event that ended with great success, with thousands of participants arriving from all over the world," the organizers pointed out.AGERPRES
