A photographic art exhibition titled 'Ukraine Seen by Oradea Photo Artists' will open on April 6 in the Oradea Fortress and will run through April 26, announced curator Stefan Tóth István, who is also the president of the 'Euro Photo Art' International Association, Agerpres reports.
"Through this exhibition, the Oradea photo artists wanted to express their solidarity with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in these extremely difficult times. The visiting public will be able to admire Ukraine's special people and amazing beauties which, regrettably, the war has brutally marred. These artists came to capture the marvels of this wonderful country through their lens," photographer Stefan Tóth István said in the statement.
The 50 photos on display were taken over time by photographers Eugen Antal, Constantin Demeter, Petrila Gheorghe, Ovi D. Pop and Stefan Tóth István himself - all members of the 'Nufarul' Oradea Photographic Club, the 'Varadinum' Oradea Photoclub and the 'Euro Photo Art' International Association - during their creative trips to Ukraine.
The cooperation with Ukrainian photographers - which provided the opportunity for these creative trips - began 27 years ago, in 1995, when Stefan Tóth István was invited to participate in an international creative photo camp organized in Chernivtsi. Over the past two and a half decades, the aforementioned artists together with the late Constantin Dancoglu have organized several exhibitions in the cities of Chernivtsi, Uzhhorod, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne and Solotvyno.
Under the same partnership between the Romanian and Ukrainian photo artists, photographers from Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Odessa, Rivne, Uzhhorod and Zaporizhzhia opened dozens of exhibitions in Oradea.
The announced exhibition is scheduled to open on April 6 at 17.00 hrs, in the presence of the featured photographers, in the 'Stefan Vilidar Istvan' Gallery of the 'Euro Photo Art' Exhibition Center housed by the Princely Palace of the Oradea Medieval Citadel and will be broadcast online on https://www.facebook.com/EuroFotoArtAssociation; Ukraine refugees are also invited to the event.
All the exhibited images can also be admired on the website https://www.eurofotoart.com/efa-exbhibitions-halls/stefan-vilidar-istvan-gallery-oradea/05/.
