VIBE Festival, which will have its 7th edition from July 3-6, 2025, in Sangeorgiu de Mures, near Targu Mures, has been included in the top 20 of the Best Medium-Sized Festival in Europe, according to the European Festival Awards (EFA), with the final ranking to be announced in January 2025.
"VIBE Festival ends the year with good news: thanks to the public's votes, the festival has been included in the top 20 of the Best Medium-Sized Festival in Europe, according to the European Festival Awards (EFA). The final decision will be made by a specialized committee of the European Festivals Association and the results will be announced in January 2025 in Groningen," the organizers announced in a press release on Monday.
According to the press release, 2024 marks a milestone in the history of the VIBE Festival, which registered 112,600 attendees for the first time.
"This figure allowed the festival to be a first-time contender in the Best Medium-Sized Festival category. VIBE Festival was first nominated in the EFA in 2017, immediately after its first edition, in the Newcomer Of The Year category, and in 2022 it made the top 5 in the Impossible Without Youth category. These results represent important steps towards the international recognition of the festival, and the current award would significantly contribute to increasing its visibility and prestige," the organizers underline.
