The Romanian women's national football team drew 1-1 (1-1) with Northern Ireland on Friday evening in Bucharest, in a match from Group B1 of the Nations League.

The visitors opened the scoring through Danielle Maxwell (min. 33), but the Romanians quickly leveled through Mihaela Ciolacu (min. 38).

Romania could have snatched the victory in extra time, but Mihaela Ciolacu hit the post (90+3). This was the first point obtained by Romania in the group, after failures with Bosnia-Herzegovina and Poland.

In another match played on Friday, Poland beat Bosnia-Herzegovina 5-1.

Poland lead the standings, with 9 points, followed by Northern Ireland - 4 points, Bosnia-Herzegovina - 3 points, Romania - 1 point.

Romania will play its next match on April 8, in Belfast, against Northern Ireland.A
