The Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) signed on Tuesday an addenda to the financing contract related to the project "Professional training and capacity building at the level of the judiciary", carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Justice, financed under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism (MFN) 2014 - 2021, a contract on the basis of which 25 chambers for hearing minors will be arranged at the level of the courts.
"Taking into account the fact that the promotion of a justice system adapted to minors represents a desideratum at the level of the Romanian judicial system, as well as the fact that the conduct of judicial proceedings involving minors in civil, administrative or criminal matters, in various capacities, must take place in conditions that are friendly to them, the Council has taken concrete steps to arrange at the level of the courts of adequate spaces for the hearing of minors to be carried out in order to comply with international standards in the field," reads a press release sent to AGERPRES.
According to the source, the Superior Council of Magistracy "will continue to get involved in actions and programmes that will contribute to the development of a justice in the interest of the child, accessible, adequate, fast and diligent, adapted to his/her needs".AGERPRES
