An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 on Richter scale occurred on Tuesday evening, at 16:13, in Buzau County, Vrancea seismic zone, according to information published by the National Institute for Research and Development for Earth Physics (INCDFP).
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 133.6 kilometers, near the following cities: 51 km west of Focsani, 58 km northwest of Buzau, 64 km southeast of Sfantu-Gheorghe, 72 km east of Brasov and 85 km northeast of Ploiesti.
Since the beginning of January, 22 earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.1 to 3.9 have occurred in Romania.
The most important earthquake of 2024, with a magnitude of 5.4, occurred in Buzau County on September 16. AGERPRES
