Police have registered 80 possible vote-related incidents since the start of the process, of which 43 were confirmed, 16 are pending verification and 21 were not confirmed, said Ministry of the Interior spokesperson Monica Dajbog, mentioning that 34 sanctions were handed down - 27 warnings and seven fines worth a total of RON 11,700, informs Agerpres.

Investigations are also being carried out into eight possible misdemeanors, Dajbog said on Sunday in a 14:00 p.m. briefing.

Bihor County police are investigating a complaint about voters being possibly bussed in to polling stations by members of political parties. Public order police, traffic police squads and gendarmes are present on site and are monitoring the situation in order to prevent and combat any violation of the law.

A Bucharester was fined RON 4,000 after reporting to the 112 hotline that at a polling station in Giurgiu County people are allegedly allowed to enter the voting booth by two, but the checks carried out by the police did not confirm the situation, the cited source says.

Several instances have been reported in which voters, including a deputy and a MEP, allegedly photographed or filmed their ballot while they were in the voting booth, and relevant investigations are underway.
