A number of 812 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been registered in the last 24 hours, in over 43,600 tests performed, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) informed on Thursday.
Of the 812 new cases, 22 were of re-infected patients, who tested positive more than 180 days after the first infection.
As of Thursday, 1,796,230 cases of infection with the novel coronavirus had been registered in Romania, of whom 10,696 were from re-infected patients, having tested positive more than 180 days after the first period of illness.
According to the GCS, 1,721,785 patients were declared cured.
At the national level, 10,901,832 RT-PCR tests and 5,667,859 rapid antigen tests were processed.
In the last 24 hours, 12,754 RT-PCR tests were performed (6,481 based on the case definition and medical protocol and 6,273 on request) and 30,893 rapid antigen tests.
Apart from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 207 people were retested positive.
