88,433 natural, legal persons doing business registered in Romania in first seven months of 2023
The number of registrations of individuals and legal entities doing business in Romania decreased in the first seven months of 2023 by 1.88%, y-o-y, to 88,433, of which 56,619 were limited liabilities, according to data centralised by the National Companies Registry Office (ONRC), told Agerpres.
Most registrations occurred in the city of Bucharest, 17,996 (plus 8.7%, as against January-July 2022), and in the counties of Cluj - 4,810 (minus 14.52%), Ilfov - 4,660 (plus 0.69 %), Bihor - 4,162 (plus 30.80%) and Timis - 4,032 (-7.08%).
The lowest number of registrations was reported in the counties of Covasna - 562 (up by 14.46% as against the first seven months of 2022), Ialomita - 590 (-11.28%), Mehedinti - 600 ( -20.32%) and Tulcea - 606 (-5.16%).
According to ONRC, the business areas in which most registrations were made are wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicle and motorcycles (16,581; +5.62%, as against the first seven months of 2022), transport and storage (9,225; +5.28%) and construction (8,978; -6.96%).
