Deputy Prime Minister Dragos Anastasiu claims that he did not sign or file a complaint in the corruption case against some ANAF officials and requests a copy of the "alleged complaint" from the DNA, Agerpres reports.

"In order to clarify in the public space my quality as a witness in the file regarding the corruption acts of some ANAF officials, I sent a written request to the DNA today requesting a copy of the alleged denunciation that I allegedly made. I reiterate that I did not sign and file a denunciation, but I gave statements regarding the facts that took place," Anastasiu wrote on Facebook on Saturday.

Reports appeared in the press that Dragos Anastasiu, as a businessman, was a witness in the corruption case of former ANAF inspector Angela Burlacu, and allegedly admitted that he signed a fictitious contract through which bribe payments to the ANAF official were masked.

Anastasiu said on Friday that in the corruption case involving ANAF officials he had "no legal advantage", but was only a witness, emphasizing that he accepted the position he currently holds because he does not want "other Romanian entrepreneurs to be subject to such abuse of power by state employees".
