Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete met on Monday with US Special Envoy for Global Partnerships Paolo Zampolli to discuss exchanges of medical technology and expertise, accelerating the digitalisation of the healthcare system, as well as enhancing the security and traceability of pharmaceutical products.
"Our discussions focused exclusively on strengthening cooperation between Romania and the United States in the healthcare sector. We addressed concrete areas: exchanges of medical technology and expertise, accelerating the digitalisation of the healthcare system, and increasing the security and traceability of pharmaceutical products. These collaborations directly translate into faster access to innovation, safer medical services and a stronger capacity to respond to patients' needs, the minister wrote on Facebook.
According to him, strengthening the partnership with the United States in healthcare is not only a strategic objective, but also "a prerequisite" for the genuine modernisation of Romania's healthcare system.
