Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR) listed on Friday a new bond issue on the Regulated Market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), worth 1.12 billion RON, the BVB said in a release.

This is the 11th bond issue listed by BCR on the Stock Exchange to date, bringing the total value of BCR's listed bonds close to 10 billion RON.

"The listing of the new BCR bond issue on the Bucharest Stock Exchange reaffirms the role of the capital market as an important instrument in the long-term financing of the economy. In a transparent and predictable framework, we access capital that strengthens the bank's yield curve, diversifies the investor base and supports projects that drive Romania's sustainable and digital development. This is the way in which BVB investors benefit from their money, which, beyond returns, generates prosperity in the community and creates added value," said Banca Comerciala Romana CEO Sergiu Manea in the release.

The corporate bonds listed under the ticker BCR31 amount to 1875 units, each with a face value of 600,000 RON, a fixed interest of 7.718% p.a. and maturing on November 11, 2031.

"With each new bond issue, Banca Comerciala Romana strengthens its strategic and long-term partnership with the Bucharest Stock Exchange and the entire capital market. The cumulative value of BCR bonds - now close to 10 billion RON - reflects the capital market's potential to provide stable resources for financing the economy. BCR demonstrates its commitment to developing the investment environment, both as an active issuer and as a reference market participant, within major listings," said Remus Vulpescu, Bucharest Stock Exchange CEO.

BCR's first bond issue has matured, with 10 corporate issues currently traded on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The second issue, worth 600 million RON, has been listed since December 2019 under the ticker BCR26. In 2021, the bank added three more bonds, including the green BCR28, BCR28A, and BCR28B.

In 2022, BCR listed three further issues: corporate bonds BCR27 and BCR28C, and the green bond BCR27A. The following year, the bank debuted on international capital markets with the green Eurobond BCR27E, followed by the BCR29 issue worth one billion RON. With the latest BCR31 bonds, valued at 1.12 billion RON, the cumulative total now reaches 9.92 billion RON.

BCR provides a full range of financial products and services through 20 business centers, 18 mobile offices for companies, and 298 retail units in cities with over 10,000 inhabitants. Of these, 73% operate cashless, with transactions carried out exclusively via equipment.
