Nine migrants from India and Afghanistan were caught by the Arad border police attempting to leave the country illegally, hidden in two trucks with goods, both checked at the Nadlac II border crossing point, told Agerpres.
Six migrants were found in a truck driven by a Ukrainian driver, which was transporting metal parts on the Turkey-Czech Republic route.
"The persons were picked up and transported to the headquarters of the sector for investigations where, following checks, the border police established that they are citizens of India, between the ages of 34 and 41," informed the Arad Border Police on Wednesday.
In the second truck, driven by a Turkish citizen who was transporting furniture, three migrants from Afghanistan, aged between 18 and 20, were found.
In both cases, the border police continues to investigate.
