Romanian boxer Crinuta Andra Sebe qualified for the final of the 65 kg category on Wednesday at the European Under-23 Boxing Championships in Budapest, after defeating Italian Valentina Marra on points, 3-2.
Sebe will face English athlete Kayla Elizabeth Allen in the gold medal match on Saturday, agerpres reports.
Amalia Maria Nita was left with the bronze medal in the 75 kg category, after being defeated in the semifinals by Ukrainian Olga Pilipciuk, on points (2-3).
Daniel-Raj Stoican also secured a medal in the 70 kg category after defeating Czech Kelvin Soquessa on points (4-1) in the quarterfinals. On Friday, in the semifinals, Stoican will face Frenchman Djamel Djemmal.
Also on Wednesday, in the 55 kg category, Adrian Florin Preda was defeated in the quarters by Englishman Abdul-Rahman Burton (0-5), and Arun Nicu Tudoroiu lost in the 65 kg category quarters to Slovakian Juraj Bona (2-3)
