Bucharest Stock Exchange closes high in first session of the week

The Bucharest Stock Exchange closed Monday's session with gains on most indices, the value of transactions exceeding 80.93 million lei (15.94 million euros).

The most liquid stocks belonged to Banca Transilvania, with total transactions of 21.07 million lei, followed by OMV Petrom shares, with 8.55 million lei, and MedLife shares, with 6.74 million lei.

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, appreciated by 0.63%, up to the value of 20,779.27 points, and the BET-Plus, which shows the development of the 43 most liquid shares on the Stock Exchange, closed up by 0.59%.

The BET-XT blue-chip index, the 25 most liquid stocks, advanced 0.51%, while the SIF index, BET-FI, fell 0.32%.

The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, also closed up 0.09%, while the BET-NG index, which tracks the performance of ten energy and utility companies, rose 0.57%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, fell 0.45%.

The best performers were Roca Industry HoldingRock1 (+7.78%), Carbochim (+7.41%) and AETA (+3.33%).

On the other hand, the most significant decreases were recorded by the shares of Farmaceutica Remedia (-4.95%), SSIF BRK Financial Group (-2.59%) and Hidroelectrica (-2.49%).
