Bucharest Stock Exchange closes high on Tuesday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Tuesday's trading session with almost all indices in the green and RON 67.8 million (EUR 13.62 million) worth of trades.

The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, rose 0.15 percent to 17,435.68 points, and the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares gained equally 0.15 percent.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers closed 0.21 percent higher, while the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK dipped 0.03 percent.

The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies picked up 1.13 percent, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG inched up 0.47 percent.

The BET AeRO index of the 20 representative companies on the AeRO market closed 0.55 percent lower.

The most traded stocks on the Regulated Market were Banca Transilvania, with RON 27.33 million in trades, followed by OMV Petrom with trades of RON 8.76 million, and by Romgaz, which generated trades worth RON 6.51 million.

The best performing issuers were UAMT (+14.43 percent), Rompetrol Rafinare (+5.94 percent), and Romcab (+5.88 percent).

Conversely, the issuers on a significant downward trend were Aeta SA (-4.05 percent), Bittnet Systems SA Bucharest (-2.83 percent), and IAR Brasov (-4.38 percent).
