Bucharest Stock Exchange closes Wednesday's trading session lower

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Wednesday's trading session lower on most indices and RON 66.375 million.

The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, lost 0.05% to 18,695.07 points, while the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares registered a 0.04% decline.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers closed 0.02% lower, while the BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies went up 0.09%.

The return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK closed the trading session 0.15% up, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG increased 0.23%.

The BET AeRO index of the 20 representative companies on the AeRO market rose 0.15%.

The most traded stocks on the Regulated Market were Banca Transilvania, with RON 39.063 million in trades, followed by Hidroelectrica with trades of RON 4.853 million, and by OMV Petrom, which generated trades worth RON 3.384 million.

According to BVB, the best performing issuers were Armatura (+12.10%), Condmag (+11.54%) and Prefab (+5.48%).

Conversely, the issuers on a downward trend were Romcab (-7.18%), Carbochim (-3.52%) and Sinteza (-3.03%).
