The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Thursday's trading session higher on almost all indices, with total turnover amounting to RON 26.8 million (EUR 5.3 million) 30 minutes after the start of trading.
The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, was up 1.11%, while the BET-Plus index, reflecting the performance of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, gained 1.09%.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, rose 1.09%, while the investment fund benchmark BET-BK advanced by 0.96%.
The BET-FI index of financial investment companies climbed 0.68%, while BET-NG, the index of the ten energy and utilities companies, increased by 1.49%.
According to BVB data, the biggest share price gains were recorded by Premier Energy PLC (+4.35%), Transelectrica (+3.49%) and Nuclearelectrica (+2.17%).
On the downside were shares in Energopetrol (-14.97%), Rompetrol Rafinare (-1.17%) and Transport Trade Services (TTS) (-0.69%).
