The members of the Alliance of Trade Unions in the Defence, Aeronautics and Naval Industries will stage a protest on Thursday in front of the Ministry of Economy, Digitalisation, Entrepreneurship and Tourism between 11:00 and 13:00.
They are dissatisfied with the lack of contracts and orders, the approval of budgets at the end of October which affects collective labour agreement negotiations, investments and hiring plans for 2025, the situation of companies such as Damen Mangalia Shipyard, Automecanica Moreni, Electromecanica Ploiesti, UM Sadu and METROM Brasov, as well as the shortage of gunpowder, components, ammunition caps and high-power explosives, and the lack of appeal for young people, specialists and qualified workers.
The protesters also accuse Minister Radu Miruta of refusing to engage in an open, transparent and constructive dialogue with the Defence trade unions.
