The Deputies's Chamber approved on Tuesday the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) request to start the prosecution against Deputy Elena Udrea, former Tourism Minister, on two counts of instigation to bribe taking.
A number of 147 MPs for the request approval, 96 voted against and there was one abstention.
Before the voting, Elena Udrea maintained in the plenary sitting that the cases are built discretionary, "to annihilate the uncomfortable politicians," and added, among others, that the notion of instigation to bribe taking is relative.
The voting was secret, with balls.
