Romanian athlete Eduard Serban won the gold medal in the 100 kg. category, at the Judo European Cup in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Serban defeated Croatian Josip Kokeza during the eighths and during the quarters he won against German Marvin Belz, dispatching British Max Gregory in the semi-finals and defeating German Daniel Herbst in the final, agerpres reports.
Romania occupied 6th place.
