Minister of Education Sorin Cimpeanu said on Tuesday, when asked whether the ministry he leads will be affected by a negative budget revision, that he did not receive an official material from the Ministry of Finance and that he knows that the "Educated Romania" project is supported by the entire coalition.
"I know that we have a Government meeting tomorrow, at 11:00, and I also know that the entire coalition supports the "Educated Romania" project and the laws of "Educated Romania" and I also know that there is no one among my colleagues in the Government who imagine that "Educated Romania" can be implemented without resources. And I also know that, if we now have a cut in the budget of the Ministry of Education, it will be very difficult for us, PNL [the National Liberal Party], to convince that next year we will be able to persuade to have a very important addition to the budget," said Sorin Cimpeanu, at a debate on the new Education laws organized at PNL Bucharest, Agerpres.
