Ensembles from Serbia, Poland, France and Romania will be performing in the Ceahlaul International Folklore Festival in Neamt County, organised by the Carmen Saeculare Centre for Culture and Arts, August 1-4.

Respecting the itinerant nature of the event founded in 1991, organisers are preparing a series of four complex artistic events to be hosted by three areas of Neamt County.

"The first day of the festival will take place in the small town of Pangarati, where workshops for children will take place, and an hour later the local public will enjoy traditional dances from Serbia, Poland and France. The evening will also include performances by the Tekir Ensemble of the Tatar community of Techirghiol, Constanta County," according to Director of the Carmen Saeculare Center for Culture and Arts, Carmen-Elena Nastasa.

On Friday, the host of the festival will be the city of Targu Neamt. The four invited folklore groups will perform, with the choreographic musical show rounded up by singer Viorica Macovei and the Floricica de la munte Folklore Ensemble of the Carmen Saeculare Centre for Culture and Arts.

The last two folkloric evenings of the festival will take place on the platform of the Royal Court in Piatra-Neamt.

On Saturday, the Rapsodia Romana Orchestra of Chisinau will perform, and on Sunday Damian Draghici.
