If the no-confidence motion is voted on Tuesday and the Government falls, under no circumstances can we return to the table with the PSD, Minister of Environment, Waters and Forestry Diana Buzoianu told a press conference on Thursday.
"We said that we want to be in power and we are aligned with our partners from the PNL, to be able to be part of a future coalition, if this government falls on Tuesday. The only thing we have conveyed is that we will not return to the table with the PSD, it is the only thing that we have mentioned absolutely very clearly and which somehow comes naturally at the moment when the coalition partners no longer respect their coalition protocol in any way. I am in vain saying that we should return to the table, because they no longer have credibility. The only red line that we have set was very clear: if the PSD votes for such a motion of censure, and if the Government falls, under no circumstances can we return to the table with the PSD. I believe that it is legitimate for the Government to bring arguments to all parliamentarians as to why it would be a total fiasco for this country for the Government to fall, because we have a responsibility to tell the parliamentarians this. This is not a political battle, but we are talking about tens of billions that risk being lost, we are talking about works for the safety of Romanians that will be postponed, we are talking about reforms that will be blocked. The parliamentarians can vote however they want in the end, but they must know that, when they vote, for example, to bring down a Government, they will actually vote to sabotage an entire country, not the parties. They will not vote to sabotage the PNL, USR, UDMR, but they will vote to effectively sabotage the Romanians in front of them", said Buzoianu, agerpres reports.
In the environment minister's opinion, the crisis created by the PSD does not have a solution that is reasonable for the Romanians.
"We are talking about what we leave to the Romanians. In fact, the Romanians are left without answers, because this government is the Government of Romania. We have some projects that must pass, reforms that must pass, measures that must be taken. The last vote in the elections was a vote of revolt, in which the Romanians told us very clearly that we can no longer let things go the way they have been going before. The PSD, by voting against this coalition, is returning this country to a total crisis situation. I do not think that we will be able to go at this pace and have something sustainable for the Romanians. It will be a circus, it will be a theater and it will be a disservice to the Romanians. That is precisely why it is absolutely hallucinatory and completely regrettable all this phasing of actions that PSD has taken quickly, in recent weeks", Diana Buzoianu emphasized.
The motion of censure entitled "STOP the 'Bolojan Plan' of destroying the economy, impoverishing the population and fraudulently selling state assets" was presented on Wednesday in the joint sitting of the Parliament by the leader of the AUR senators, Petrisor Peiu. The debate and vote on the document are scheduled for Tuesday, in the reunified plenary.
The motion is initiated by the PSD, AUR and PACE - Romania First parliamentarians, who demand the dismissal of the Government led by Ilie Bolojan
