The exhibition "The wealth of the Romanian south. The shirt with height from Muntenia, Oltenia, Dobrogea and Southern Moldavia" will be opened on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. at the National History Museum of Moldova in Chisinau.

According to a statement sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday, the exhibition in Chisinau is organized by the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum, on the occasion of the Universal Romanian Blouse Day, at the invitation of the Mihai Eminescu Romanian Cultural Institute in Chisinau.

The exhibition includes 71 original pieces from the Marghiolita Constantinescu Rogojan collection in the heritage of the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum in Bucharest.

"Being a common element of cultural identity between Romania and the Republic of Moldova, through this exhibition we are trying to make known the particularities of the high-waisted shirt from the south of Romania, respectively from areas such as Muntenia, Oltenia, Dobrogea and the south of Moldavia," states the quoted source.

The opening will be followed by a short recital by popular music performer Maria Sarabas, People's Artist.

Artist and teacher from the Muscel area, Marghiolita Constantinescu Rogojan donated to the Romanian state a collection of over 250 pieces of traditional Romanian costume.
