The Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) announced that the elections for the Parliament of Romania ended on Monday morning at 7:00 AM (Romanian time) at all 950 polling stations organised abroad.

The last polling stations where voting ended abroad were those organised in Vancouver (Canada) and the locations on the west coast of the United States (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Anaheim, Las Vegas, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego, Seattle).

The differences in time zones and the specific voting schedule for the parliamentary elections abroad (Saturday, November 30, and Sunday, December 1, between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM local time) meant that the electoral process abroad lasted 59 hours, in relation to Romania's time, according to a press release sent to AGERPRES.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry, through Romania's Diplomatic Missions and Consular Offices abroad, organised 950 polling stations for the presidential and parliamentary elections this year.

A total of 775,413 voters participated in the diaspora.
