Four waste shipments from Italy, Germany and Belgium weighing a combined of roughly 36 tons were denied entry to Romania after the authorities at the Nadlac II Border Crossing Point - Arad County, found that they lacked the legal documents required.
The inspection of all four shipments performed by border police, National Environmental Guard commissioners and representatives of the National Consumer Protection Authority determined that the trucks were actually carrying 36 tons of waste consisting of ferrous, non-ferrous and plastic scrap, used tires, industrial furnaces, concrete mixers and second-hand bicycles, the Arad Border Police reports on Monday.
Therefore, the control authorities decided to order the shipments' return to the senders.
