France's President Emmanuel Macron will pay a visit to Romania on 24 August, French diplomatic sources confirmed for Agerpres. Macron is paying his first visit to Romania.
President Klaus Iohannis had a meeting with his French counterpart on the sidelines of the European Council meeting in Brussels in June. "We had a first settled, bilateral meeting with President Macron. In a very brief time, we approached many important topics to us, regarding collaboration both bilateral and in European formats. We discussed collaborations, on Schengen, for instance. We discussed the collaboration we are preparing for the cultural season. We talked about the very much discussed directive on workers's deployment," Iohannis said at that time. Emmanuel Macron was elected France's President in May this year.
