The Romanian government will continue to provide full and consistent support for Ukraine, as long as it is needed, "until the victory of Ukraine and the restoration of its territorial integrity", but also further, in the process of rebuilding the country, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu declared on Friday, at Victoria Palace.
"I told the (Ukrainian, ed. n.) Prime Minister today that I and the Government I lead will continue to provide full and consistent support for Ukraine. We are united against the military aggression of the Russian Federation and the acts of barbarism and cowardice directed against the people Ukrainian. The loss of innocent lives in this senseless conflict must stop. I once again express full support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. We will stand with Ukraine as long as it takes until Ukraine's victory and restoration of its territorial integrity, but also further in the country's reconstruction process," Marcel Ciolacu said, agerpres reports.
He emphasized the extremely complicated period that the two states are going through, in the current context, full of unprecedented challenges for the security of the European continent and the whole world.
"However, we must remain firm for this fight. It is, in fact, also for the protection of our way of life and our fundamental values related to democracy and freedom. And I am glad that the Romanian people understood these things from the first moment and has shown incredible solidarity with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. We must defend Ukraine's right to sovereignly decide on its future because an independent, sovereign, democratic, free, prosperous Ukraine is in Romania's strategic interest," Ciolacu declared.
