Gov't to upload latest tax measures on its website for public transparency
Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said on Monday that this week the tax measures he is going to take responsibility for in Parliament will be published on the government's website.
Ciolacu was asked when he will take responsibility in Parliament for the new tax measures.
"After we come out with them in the transparency procedure. I think that this week they will be uploaded on the Government's website in the transparency procedure. Then they get their approvals at a government meeting and then they are submitted to Parliament. The procedure takes a week or two. There will be nothing hidden. I've heard that I want someone to table a motion of censure against me, but in fact it's a trick, since no one knows what's there. False! There will be days for amendments," said Ciolacu.
He added that he suggested the governing coalition that meal vouchers be issued in cash.
"It is a proposal, because the companies that issue these vouchers still charge a rather large commission fee - from what I get is 3% for issuing, 3% for collecting. If we do not understand that we can't have an exceptional profit and maybe even filing for 1% and declaring 2 employees, I don't accept such scams anymore and leave the alternative. We are not talking about the vacation vouchers, those will be issued and we will try through the Romanian Post, we see, through the public system," said Ciolacu.
Ciolacu and Bucharest District 3 Mayor Robert Negoita visited the Anghel Saligny Technical Collegiate High School in Bucharest on Monday.
