The lead singer of Hara, a Romanian pop-rock band from Cluj-Napoca, Flavius Buzila, told AGERPRES on Tuesday that his band has been selected to enter the finals of the prestigious international competition InterContinental Music Awards in Los Angeles (USA), with three successful songs: Noapte Alba (White Night), Rollercoaster and Sarbatoare (Celebration), this competition being aimed at promoting talent and original creation from around the world.
"I am happy and honored to announce that Hara is a finalist with three songs in a major international competition, the InterContinental Music Awards, Los Angeles, USA! We are even happier because this is our first participation in this competition that promotes talent and original creation from all over the world. Our songs that made it through to the final are the BritPop category finalists Sarbatoare, the European Folk category finalists Rollercoaster and Noapte Alba. The final will be on August 25. It's a creative competition and I found it very interesting, especially as it's called the InterContinental Music Awards. They emphasized somehow the specifics of each continent. The three songs I wrote were all about Europe, because that's where we come from, and they included them in these two categories, BritPop and European Folk, as they consider folk something that has traditional folk music influences from that country. In the BritPop finals we were the only ones, and in the European Folk finals there are five songs, the Hara Band with two songs and three other songs," he told AGERPRES.
Hara consists of Flavius Buzila (vocals, guitar), Nunu Racris (drums), Andrei Balasa (guitar), Mihai Andritcu (violin) and Andrei Stoi (percussion, bass), and the song with the most views on Youtube is 'Noapte Alba', premiered on March 23, 2023.
